✅ DESCRIPTION

A rare Shimano Triple X 12ft match fishing rod, dating from approximately the late 1980s / early 1990s, in very good preloved condition.

This is a lovely example of classic Shimano match tackle from a great era of coarse fishing rods, measuring 12ft and constructed in three sections.

The rod features a traditional spliced tip, providing the sensitive action associated with lighter float and silverfish fishing.

Importantly, the tip remains its correct original length and has NOT been shortened — particularly important with older spliced-tip match rods.

The rod features a full-length cork handle with traditional sliding reel seat collars, giving it that unmistakable old-school match rod appearance.

Most importantly, the rod has never been broken, rewhipped or repaired and comes complete with a cloth rod bag.

A cracking piece of retro Shimano tackle and an increasingly difficult rod to find in good, original condition.
